How to Prepare a Packaging RFQ That Gets a Faster and More Accurate Quote

A clear RFQ helps suppliers recommend the right structure, avoid wrong assumptions and quote faster with fewer revisions.

Product information

Start with product size, weight, material and fragility. If the product is a set, list every component. Packaging cannot be quoted accurately when the product dimensions are unknown.

Structure and quantity

Share the target structure if you know it, such as folding carton, rigid box, mailer, paper tube or molded pulp tray. Quantity affects printing method, tooling, unit cost and sample strategy.

Artwork and finish

Tell the supplier whether artwork is ready. If foil, embossing, spot UV or reverse UV is needed, mark the areas clearly or send reference photos.

RFQ checklist

Include product size, quantity, material preference, artwork status, finish requirements, shipping destination, sample needs and target deadline. A supplier can then quote with fewer assumptions.

Suggested next step

Send product size, target quantity, reference images, material preference and shipping destination to Packaverse. We can help compare structures, materials, finishes and sampling options before production.
