A clean dieline and correct artwork file reduce sampling errors, print issues and production delays.

What a dieline shows

A dieline shows cut lines, fold lines, glue areas, bleed, safe area and panel direction. It is not just a design canvas. It is the production template for the package.

Bleed and safe area

Background color should extend into the bleed area so cutting does not leave white edges. Important text and logos should stay inside the safe area.

Color and finish layers

CMYK is common for print, while Pantone references help with brand color. Foil, embossing, debossing, spot UV and window areas should be supplied as separate clear layers.

Practical recommendation

Send AI or PDF artwork, product dimensions, reference structure, Pantone colors and finish notes. Confirm orientation before sampling to avoid upside down panels or misplaced graphics.

Suggested next step

Send product size, target quantity, reference images, material preference and shipping destination to Packaverse. We can help compare structures, materials, finishes and sampling options before production.
